Avocado Matcha Smoothie Recipe

This blended meal of perfection became my go-to snack in college, and it’s still a huge part of my repertoire in the kitchen as an adult. It’s simple, healthy, delicious, and it really does hit the spot (surprisingly filling). I first came across this recipe on the blog POOSH and never turned back. I highly recommend giving this one a go.


INGREDIENTS:

1 organic avocado, pitted and peeled
1 cup organic plant-based milk (I love unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
1 scoop matcha powder
2 tablespoons organic chia seeds
2 teaspoons organic honey (locally farmed if possible)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Blend for 30 seconds, pour into your desired cup, and enjoy!


TIP:

One thing I have noticed after iteratively making adjustments to the serving sizes across various different smoothie recipes is that avocados are the secret hack for giving your blended meal creamier consistency. I started adding into all of my smoothies - it hardly has any test when mixed in with stronger ingredients and really makes it feel like a luxury smoothie.
