Homemade Tzatziki
This fresh and easy homemade tzatziki will leave you never going back to store-bought again. It goes great alongside Greek meatballs or any Mediterranean dish. You can also serve as a healthy and delish dip for veggies or pretzel crisps (my mom and I’s personal favorite).
Tzatziki Ingredients:
½ cucumber grated and dried
1 cup whole milk Greek yogurt
1 clove of garlic, grated
1 Tbsp lemon juice (juice from half a lemon)
½ Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp of mint chopped
1 Tbsp of dill chopped
Dash of salt
Instructions:
Add a cup of whole milk Greek yogurt to a container with a lid you can store the tzatziki in.
Grate half of a cucumber and remove any big unwanted pieces. Dry out the grated cucumber as much as possible with a paper towel and add into your container.
Grate one clove of garlic into the container as well.
Add a Tablespoon of fresh lemon juice (juice from half a lemon) and half a Tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Chop up a Tablespoon of fresh mint and a Tablespoon of fresh dill and add into the container along with a dash of salt. Mix the Tzatziki all together. And that’s it! You’re ready to serve.
